Mercer named a member of U.S. CYBERCOM Academic Engagement Network

Mercer University was recently selected as a member of the U.S. Cyber Command (CYBERCOM) Academic Engagement Network (AEN), consisting of 84 colleges and universities representing 34 U.S. states and the District of Columbia.

Middle Georgia State University earns NSA & DHS Center for Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education (CAE-CD)

In 2017 colleagues and I completed the self-study and application packet to be designated as a CAE-CD for the area of cyber defense. 

MGA Opens Cyber Forensics Lab

In 2014 I was able to design, develop, and create a new cyber forensics lab on the Macon campus at Middle Georgia State with support from a 4-year National Science Foundation grant. 

Cyber Knights continue Success in Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition

For my first two years leading the Cyber Knights competition team, we were given notice that we had again advanced to the regional round of competition, beating out approximately 20 other universities.

Middle Georgia State University earns National Centers of Digital Forensics Academic Excellence (CDFAE)

In 2017, through the Center of Cyberforensic Operations, which I direct, we were approved to be designated as a CDFAE for the area of cyberforensics.

There is no question that the Digital age has provided both employees and employers with varied tools for doing business, such as office software, social and professional online networks, etc. However, office staff often misuses the resources for non-business activities.
